Wilderness Celebration!

On July 5, 2007, the Friends of Sandwich Range and Friends of Wild River hosted a public celebration at the Russell-Colbath barn to celebrate the passage of the New England Wilderness Act of 2006.  Together we honored the work of representatives Sununu, Gregg, Bradley, and Bass who successfully passed this legislation on December 1, 2006.

Indoor events were followed by field trips to the Sandwich Range and Wild River Wilderness, including the placement of new boundary markers.
